Ask for pork anywhere in Hyderabad and you'll mostly get directions to a supermarket freezer. A handful of kitchens in Secunderabad's cantonment belt keep the tradition alive — and QnQ Cafe on Defence Colony Road, Sainikpuri is one of the very few where pork isn't a side note. It's a headline act.

Chef Karl grills pork sausages, bacon, pork belly and ham — and if choosing is hard, he simply refuses to make you choose. The Pooka Pookie Pork platter (₹1499) stacks all four on one plate with a soft bun and an omelet. Regulars call it the full swine dine, and it's the closest thing this city has to a pork festival on a plate.

Why so little pork in this city?

Supply, mostly. Good pork needs a trusted butcher, cold-chain discipline and a chef who actually knows how to render belly fat instead of boiling it into rubber. Karl started on a food truck in 2023 and built those supply lines himself — which is why the belly comes out crisp-edged and the bacon doesn't taste like regret. Every plate at QnQ is labelled clearly, and chicken and buff dishes are grilled alongside for the rest of your table.

If you're anywhere near Sainikpuri, AS Rao Nagar, ECIL, Neredmet or Malkajgiri, you're fifteen minutes from proper pork. Evenings only — Tuesday to Sunday, 7 PM to 11:30 PM.
